Guacamole

My family LOVES some guacamole!! It is so easy to make. We eat it with chips, crackers, veggies, on top of grilled chicken or hamburgers, almost anything!! If you have a awesome store named Aldi in your area definitely try shopping there! Their avacados are usually super cheap. I believe they were .30 a piece last week! I LOVE my Aldi store. OK, don’t make fun of my awesome picture taking skills. I’ll get better…just give me time! Lol Here’s the recipe. Remember, my recipes are going to make a large amount since there are 8 of us. So just cut recipe in half or save what you don’t eat for the next few days! Enjoy

Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 8-10 Ripe Avocados
  • 2 Limes
  • Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 c. Fresh Cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 Small Red Onion
  • Small Jalapeno (optional)

Directions

Prepare Avocados and place in a large bowl. Mash them with a potato masher, or a fork if you don’t have one. After it’s somewhat smooth, add the chopped onion and cilantro. Next add the juice of both limes. We love lime flavor, if you don’t just use the juice from one! Finally, add the garlic salt. I use about 1 teaspoon. Maybe start with 1/2 teaspoon and add a little at a time until you reach the flavor you like.

Now, some of my kids like spicy and some do not. So when I get time to make two different batches I add a small, well diced jalapeno to one of them. Make sure to get the seeds out before you chop up! Sometimes I can’t find fresh Cilantro so I make it without. The guac still tastes amazing and fresh! Enjoy as is or make it your own!
